Background information:

The Digital Diplomacy Operations Support Consultant will be responsible for supporting the execution of the product delivery related to Event Management and RSI (Remote Simultaneous Interpretation) services.

The consultant will also contribute to the monitoring and evolution of the current service and participate in the development of the service portfolio, as well as participating in projects related to the service.

Main duties and responsibilities:

The consultant will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the Associate Product Delivery and Development Officer in the Digital Products Unit (DSDP) within the Digital Solutions Centre Division (DS) and in close collaboration with other teams within the United Nations International Computing Centre. The consultant shall ensure the completion of the following deliverables:

  • Handle daily activities relevant to the product: take charge and record the requests from clients, map the requirements, interact with the vendors and the clients under guidance, manage contracts and related administrative tasks, monitor the delivery, and handle any post-delivery activities
  • Under team guidance and in close collaboration with the relevant team members, manage the licenses of the event management and RSI platforms, including:
    • Managing user access and event templates
    • Monitoring usage reports
    • Supporting license renewal
  • Under team guidance and in close collaboration with the relevant team members, act as a focal point for vendors and clients and ensure smooth service provision by monitoring the timeline, quality and costs of the service delivery
  • Handle and maintain up-to-date product documentation and reporting (opportunities, event calendar, client reporting, costs, etc.)
  • Collaborate with the Associate Product Delivery and Development Officer and the Product Manager in creating presentations, reports, and analytical documents as appropriate for internal and external use
  • Collect feedback from clients and share it with team to trigger any possible actions and improvements
  • Participate in the standardization of the service (process mapping, template creation, etc.)
  • Contribute to the monitoring and the evolution of the service: provide substantive input for the product erby compiling lessons learnt in product operations activities and by researching and analyzing the market in collaboration with the Associate Product Delivery and Development Officerand the Product Manager
  • Contribute to projects related to the service as required

Recruitment Profile

Experience and Skills required:

Essential:

  • At least one (1) year of relevant experience in contract management, procurement and invoicing processes
  • Previous experience in project management, customer relationship management, vendor management or similar fields
  • Willingness to learn and operate in a creative and innovative environment
  • Strong analytical skills

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in event and/or conference management
  • Previous experience in app administration and/or configuration

Education:

Essential:

  • First university degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Business Administration or similar fields

Languages:

Essential:

  • English: Expert knowledge is required

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of French or Spanish is an advantage

Other Information

Compensation:

Fee will be based either on the National Officer salary scales or the Individual Consultancy band levels (for Headquarters)
