Excel Healthcare is currently recruiting a Director of Nursing for a well-established, medium-sized nursing home located in the scenic suburbs near Blackrock, Co. Dublin. • Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals across all aspects of care delivery.
• Maintain the highest standards of resident care and safety.
• Ensure compliance with HIQA standards and national healthcare regulations.
• Oversee staff induction, ongoing training, and professional development.
• Implement and monitor risk management, health, and safety protocols.
• Drive continuous quality improvement and uphold a strong governance framework.
• Ensure efficient day-to-day operations of the nursing home

Requirements for this Director of Nursing job:

• Active NMBI registration.
• Minimum 3 years’ management experience within the last 6 years in a care of the elderly setting.
• Post-registration qualification in healthcare management (essential).
• Evidence of continuous professional development over the past two years.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Compassionate approach with a genuine commitment to elder care.
• Proven success in leading teams and ensuring regulatory compliance.
