We’re looking for an innovative and strategic Director of Product Marketing to lead our SaaS product marketing initiatives. As the key driver of our product’s market positioning and go-to-market strategy, you’ll be responsible for shaping the narrative that connects our software solutions with customer needs, driving adoption, and accelerating growth. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, pricing, market research, sales, and customer success, to ensure our products are successfully launched and differentiated in the market.Key Responsibilities:
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Define and drive the GTM strategy and execution for new product launches, encompassing marketing, pricing, sales, customer success, and partnerships. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure the release process is aligned with launch strategies, maximizing success. Establish KPIs and ensure alignment on shared goals for tracking performance.
- Positioning & Messaging: Craft compelling product positioning, messaging, and value propositions that resonate with target personas and segments. Ensure consistency across all customer touchpoints.
- Market Research & Analysis: Partner with our Market Research & Intelligence teams for in-depth market research, including customer insights, competitive analysis, and industry trends, to inform strategic decisions. Identify opportunities for market differentiation and growth.
- Sales Enablement: Partner with sales enablement teams to develop sales tools, training, and collateral, including product demos, pitch decks, and customer case studies. Equip the sales force to articulate product value effectively.
- Customer Persona & Journey Mapping: Define and refine buyer personas and customer journeys, identifying pain points, motivations, and how our solutions meet their needs.
- Product Evangelism: Serve as the internal and external champion for the product. Be the go-to expert for product marketing in customer meetings, industry events, webinars, and analyst briefings.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with product management, marketing, pricing, customer success, and engineering teams to ensure alignment on product strategy, roadmaps, product launches, and customer feedback loops.
- Performance Measurement: Track and analyze the performance of product marketing initiatives, from lead generation to customer acquisition and retention. Use data to optimize strategies and drive continuous improvement.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of product marketers dedicated to our SaaS products, while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven Experience: Minimum 7-10 years of experience in product marketing, preferably within a SaaS or technology company, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strategic Mindset: Strong ability to think strategically while being able to execute tactically. Proven experience developing and driving GTM strategies for B2B SaaS products.
- Storytelling & Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for distilling complex concepts into clear, compelling narratives. Experience in public speaking and presentations.
- Product Launches: Deep expertise in the product launch process, with proven ownership from generating insights to executing early go-to-market strategies.
- Sales Collaboration: Experience working closely with sales teams to develop impactful enablement tools and training programs.
- Data-Driven: Ability to analyze data, derive insights, and translate them into actionable marketing strategies. Familiarity with key SaaS metrics like MRR, ARR, churn, and customer lifetime value (CLTV).
- Customer Focus: A deep understanding of customer needs, pain points, and behaviors. Proven experience in developing buyer personas, segmentation, and customer journey mapping.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority. A collaborator who thrives in a collaborative fast-paced environment.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or advanced degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
- Experience in a high-growth startup environment.
