How you will create an impact:

As a Director at Simon-Kucher, you will be a critical member of our TMT leadership team in North America and create impact in 5 key areas.

Strategic Focus Area:

  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies, including sales planning, incentive & org design, and revenue operations tailored to TMT client needs.
  • Develop, implement, scale, and manage project delivery leveraging a depth of content knowledge and client relationship-building skills with expertise in the TMT sector.

Business Development:

  • Cultivate trusted-partner client relationships, source project opportunities, and develop project proposals leading to revenue generation.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through lead generation, new content creation, end-to-end proposal development, and participating in client pitches.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain trusted, credible senior-level advisory relationships by delivering high-quality, tailored recommendations and strategic advice that our clients can execute to realize benefits.
  • Effectively engage senior client audience at all stages of their commercial growth strategy, obtaining buy-in for the recommendations.

Team Leadership:

  • Mentor and guide team of consultants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  • Effectively manage multiple engagements and project teams, providing coaching, training, and growth opportunities.

Thought Leadership:

  • Develop and deliver new thought leadership content (white papers, case studies, frameworks etc.) in collaboration with peers and Partners in the TMT practice.
  • Be a leader in the firm and play an integral role in the recruitment and integration of new TMT consultants.

Your profile:

Outstanding drive, determination, and desire to be part of a growing, top tier consulting firm and becoming a partner/shareholder at the firm.

Education & Experience:

  • An undergraduate degree is required; MS, MA, MBA, or other advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in a professional services environment, ideally in management consulting, serving the Technology, Media, & Telecom industry.
  • Demonstrated record of achievement in selling and managing new and follow-on engagements.

Skills:

  • Proven expertise in go-to-market strategy, segmentation, distribution strategy, sales strategies, and planning.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to distill insights/takeaways from large sets of data.
  • Effective ability to present and communicate findings and recommendations to a senior audience.
  • Highly inclusive and empathetic approach to leadership and team management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work seamlessly and collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Additional Considerations / Preferences:

  • Access to an existing network within the TMT industry in North America is a plus, preferably with senior executives within Technology, Media, and/or Telecom.
  • Proven ability to build new thought leadership content.
  • Ability to travel at least 25% of the time.

The pay range for this position in California is $225,000-$265,000/year. Compensation may vary depending on relevant experience, skills, geographic location, and business needs. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, 13 paid holidays per year, medical/dental/vision insurance, basic life insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
