WantedDoctor with extra training in dermatology and skin surgery for the Kerry Skin Clinic, Tralee, Co. Kerry. Ireland.Who we are looking for:A consultant dermatologist or a GP who has experience in dermatology and skin surgery. The post may also be suitable to a doctor who has completed some higher specialist training in dermatology or plastic surgery (SPR). Extra training in aesthetics may be an advantage but not essential. We are looking for someone to assist Dr Buckley in running the practice with a view to partnership.Full time

Education and training can be provided where requiredWhat we do?The Kerry Skin Clinic is a purpose-built private community-based dermatology facility with a passion for caring for adults and children in the Munster area with common skin hair and nail problems. We provide a general dermatology service seeing patients with acne, eczema, psoriasis, rashes, “lumps and bumps”, warts, ulcers, skin cancer, hair and nail problems. We provide oral isotretinoin, paediatric dermatology, PDT, radiosurgery, cryosurgery and regular skin and nail surgery clinics. We also provide allergy testing including skin patch testing, skin prick testing and exclusion diets. In addition, we provide aesthetic procedures such as Botox, microneedling, IPL and pulsed dye lasers. We use computer aided diagnosis, dermoscopy, and “see and treat” surgical clinics to enhance parents’ care. We have developed a teledermatology service and plan to expand this by providing AI based assessment and treatment for easy to diagnose and treat skin, hair and nail problems. The practice currently employs two medical secretaries, a practice nurse, a practice manager and a financial controller. We use electronic medical records (Health One).Most of our patients are referred by local GP. We work closely with our consultant dermatology, histopathology and plastic surgery colleagues in Kerry and Cork to provide comprehensive patient care.What does the job entail:The successful candidate will work with the principal, Dr David Buckley, and have experience of dermatology, dermoscopy and skin cancer. Integral to the responsibilities of the post are the following requirements:

• Provide expert care for our patients with all common skin, hair and nail problems.
• Carry out basic surgical procedures such as skin biopsy, removal of cysts and lipomas, simple ellipse, and nail surgery.
• To sustain and develop audit, teaching and research wherever appropriate
• Scope to provide aesthetic services such as Botox, fillers, chemical peels, etc.
• Ability to communicate effectively with local GP and hospital-based colleagues
