Business Function

Corporate and Investment Banking provides corporate customers with a full range of commercial banking products and services, including cash management services, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance, working capital finance, term loans and foreign exchange. Through our continued commitment, DBS has cultivated long-standing relationships with its customers in the region that are based on account relationship management, service differentiation, product development and rigorous credit standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop DBS’ TMT franchise in Greater China (Greater Bay Area), in terms of overall group strategies and client focus leading to revenue generation
  • Establish coverage and relationship with TMT companies in Greater Bay Area, with focus on semiconductor, AI ecosystem / infrastructure
  • Be a champion of DBS’ “China + n” strategy, supporting TMT companies in penetrating DBS’ key markets in Southeast Asia
  • Originate various products covering Structured Finance, Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, M&A Advisory and to lead the execution of these mandates
  • Responsible for origination and execution of Cash & Trade (Supply Chain, Structure Trade Finance, Accounts Receivables Purchase and T&M products)
  • Identify pertinent credit related issues and work out viable financing solution for clients
  • Plan and set marketing strategies together with TMT Greater China coverage teams
  • Supervise and train up junior bankers in terms of origination, technical and execution skills

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience in corporate & investment banking, involving loan syndication, debt capital markets, equity capital markets and merger & acquisition advisory related transactions
  • Good understanding of corporate & investment banking suite of products
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and leading deal team in origination and execution
  • Results-oriented, resourceful and strong business connections in identifying and developing business opportunities. Track record and experience in Greater China coverage will be an advantage
  • Strong preference will be given to bankers with TMT background and China coverage experience
  • Develop business strategies and maintain discipline in planning of daily activities to conform to long-term vision and direction of the TMT franchise
  • Strong credit and financial analytical skills, experience in industry research
  • Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin
  • Knowledge of accounting and finance, financial modelling and business presentation will be an advantage
