What You’ll Do:
In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day: * Establish effective relationships and work closely and co-operatively with the EHS team – within the region, at group level, the retail team and other stakeholders;
- Have a thorough and detailed working knowledge of relevant current legislation and advice;
- Keep abreast of proposed and actual changes in legislation and advice and to alert such changes to the team on areas that will impact on the business;
- To encourage, support and advise on consultative arrangements in the region ensuring the retail and human resources team are aware of these obligations and support this function within our stores;
- Carry out health & safety inspections as required by legislation, Primark company policy, identifying potential hazards and recommending appropriate remedial action where required;
What You’ll Bring
We want every person in our organisation to feel like they’re making a key contribution. Here are some of the experiences and skills you’ll need for the role: * Primary degree in occupational health and safety or environmental health and safety.
- Recognised member of a professional body.
- Five years’ experience in environmental health and safety.
- Retail or FMCG’s experience an advantage.
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, codes of practice, guidance and operating procedures. Ability to keep abreast of trends and related best practice;
