The role encompasses all activities associated with the execution of projects won by the company.Produce detailed engineering designs of heat tracing and power distribution systems for European projects.Understand technically in-depth Industrial Heat Solutions (IHS) product lines and relevant (Special) Applications for which they can be used.Analyze customer provided data and develop technical solutions that exceed client expectations whilst improving nVent Thermal Management chances of securing the best Project MarginInterpret P&ID, line lists, plot plans, piping isometrics, piping plan drawings, piping/electrical/insulation specifications, and bill of materials.Produce calculations and Heat tracing Designs using in-house design software.Quantify and compare alternative solutions that can be presented as part of our submission to the client.Provide technical support and follow-up of proposals/construction activities.Be capable of carrying out the design activities within tight schedules and budgets.Build and maintain effective working relations functions with other functions such as CAD and Electrical Design, including other Worldwide offices.Participate in development and improvement initiatives and undertake internal and external training and product awareness.Willing and able to spend time away from “home office” at either client offices or other nVent Thermal Management locations.YOU HAVE:Academic background in Electrical Engineering;Technical understanding of piping materials, components, valves, and familiarity with piping isometrics, P&ID’s, piping symbols as well as with electrical symbols and schematics;Previous experience (not required) in or with engineering activities acquired in a process environment (preferably within the Oil, Gas or Petrochemical / Power industries);Knowledge of electrical power distribution, control and monitoring, piping, hazardous area classification (ATEX and IEC norms);Digital literacy– use in-house design software packages, AutoCAD and proficient in a variety of MS Office programs;Full driving license.You are:Accurate and systematic with experience to develop smooth designs;Strong written and verbal communicator to present and influence views in a clear manner;Fluent in Dutch and English;Self-starter/self-motivated, detail oriented and a good communicator;Stress resistant.WE OFFER:Good salary package, including double holiday payment and a 13th month;20 holidays + 6 ADV + 2 extra holidays on a full time bases.Group insurance and hospitalization insurance;Meal vouchers and eco vouchers;Possibility to work 2 days from home;Bike lease + 0.27€/kilometer driven by bike;Good (international) career opportunities;Global benefits like the Employee Assistance Program, Global Recognition Program and Employee Relief Fund.WE HAVE:
