Excited to join? You will be part of a dynamic team of electrical engineers and designers, who support our engineering project teams in the development of our current and future product range of combustion and electrical driven compressors within the Portable Air division.You will be responsible for the following:
- Performing feasibilities studies related to the electrical facet of our future products
- Facilitate meetings between our different departments concerning a variety of electrical designs
- Training and guiding the electrical designers
- Taking the lead in the planning of our electrical design work by using a planning tool –
prepare the meeting, follow-up the ongoing tasks,.. * Validating the design of our internal and external designers and set-up actions plans if needed
- Define and roll out initiatives to improve the quality of our products and procedures
- Participate in the meetings with colleague senior designers to discuss general topics like standardization, legislation, quality,..
- Supporting the implementation of a new electrical software E-plan
- Creating electrical schematics, diagrams for diesel driven and electrical driven mobile compressors according to the Atlas Copco guidelines and standard
- Calculating all technical requirements to achieve a high quality and standards e.g. low voltage directive, CE, CSA/UL,..
- Interacting with suppliers , our labo engineers and mechanics
- Supporting in the test program related to the electrical tests and evaluating the test results.
What we expect of you?Educational requirements:
- You have a master academic degree within engineering or equivalent by experience.
Experiences and skills:
- Mechanical and electrical design knowledge
- Experiences with electrical CAD software (Autocad Electrical, EPLAN, Creo Schematics) and PLM programs
- Basic knowledge of tools like BPCS/ERP, MS O365 package (Word, Excell, Teams, …)
- Proper knowledge of the English language
- Practical experience with (automotive) electrics and electronics is a plus
- Project Management experiences is a plus
