ROLE DESCRIPTIONAs a Sustainability Manager you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing sustainable practices to enhance environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in ESG, as well as a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics. The successful candidate will drive initiatives to minimize environmental impact, enhance social responsibility, and ensure robust governance practices throughout the supply chain.WHAT WILL YOU DOESG Strategy Development:Develop and implement a comprehensive ESG strategy aligned with the organisation’s goals and industry best practices.Identify key sustainability risks and opportunities within the supply chain.Environmental Management:Lead efforts to reduce the environmental footprint of the supply chain, focusing on energy efficiency, waste reduction, and responsible sourcing.Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to implement sustainable practices and technologies.Social Responsibility:Assess and improve social impact within the supply chain, including labour practices and community engagement.Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure ethical business practices.Governance Enhancement:Develop and enforce governance frameworks related to sustainability, ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance.Implement and monitor ethical procurement policies and practices.Stakeholder Engagement:Engage with internal and external stakeholders to communicate sustainability goals, progress, and achievements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability considerations into decision-making processes.Performance Monitoring and Reporting:Establish KPIs and metrics to monitor the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives.Prepare regular reports for senior management, identifying areas for improvement and showcasing achievements.Regulatory Compliance:Stay abreast of relevant environmental and social regulations and ensure compliance within the supply chain.Work closely with legal and compliance teams to address any emerging issues.QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS &EXPEREINCE REQUIRED· Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.· Proven experience as a Sustainability Manager, with a focus on supply chain ESG.· In-depth knowledge of environmental and social issues in the context of supply chain management.· Strong analytical and project management skills.· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.· Familiarity with relevant ESG reporting standards (e.g., GRI, SASB).· Ability to drive change and influence stakeholders at various levels.If you are passionate about sustainability, possess a strategic mindset, and have a track record of successfully implementing ESG initiatives in the supply chain, we invite you to apply for this challenging and rewarding role.
