My Ashbourne based client are a leader in providing Logistics, Supply Chain, Sales and Marketing solutions to many different industries nationwide.They employ close to 1000 staff across warehousing, sales, transport, and head office.Salary & Package: Salary is €65k-€70k may be negotiable but must reflect experience,10% bonus, up to 7% Pension Contribution, Health Insurance, 25 days holidaysThey are looking for an experienced ESG Manager with the following skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience as a Sustainability Manager, with a focus on supply chain ESG.
• In-depth knowledge of environmental and social issues in the context of supply chain management.
• Strong analytical and project management skills.
• Familiarity with relevant ESG reporting standards (e.g., GRI, SASB).
• Ability to drive change and influence stakeholders at various levels.

Responsibilities for the job of Sustainability Manager:

• ESG Strategy Development

Develop and implement a comprehensive ESG strategy aligned with the organisation’s goals and industry best practices. Identify key sustainability risks and opportunities within the supply chain.

• Environmental Management

Working in conjunction with the QHSE team, lead efforts to reduce the environmental footprint of the supply chain, focusing on energy efficiency, waste reduction, and responsible sourcing. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to implement sustainable practices and technologies

• Social Responsibility

Assess and improve social impact within the supply chain, including labour practices and community engagement. Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure ethical business practices.

• Governance Enhancement

Develop and enforce governance frameworks related to sustainability, ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance. Implement and monitor ethical procurement policies and practices.

• Stakeholder Engagement

Engage with internal and external stakeholders to communicate sustainability goals, progress, and achievements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability considerations into decision-making processes.

• Performance Monitoring and Reporting

Establish KPl’s and metrics to monitor the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives. Prepare regular reports for senior management, identifying areas for improvement and showcasing achievements.

• Regulatory Compliance

Stay abreast of relevant environmental and social regulations and ensure compliance within the supply chain.
