EWS Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team has an excellent opportunity for you in a fast-paced, innovative, highly collaborative technical environment.

We are looking for an open minded and dedicated teammate joining a few best-in-class SREs in Shared Development Clouds. With a can-do attitude and an engineering focus culture, we are responsible for architecting, designing, implementing, deploying, and operating full stack cloud native infrastructure and platforms from hardware all the way to microservices, enabling Ericsson cloud native development environment and 5G business.

What you will do

  • System study and integration of open-source projects in CNCF landscape: https://www.cncf.io
  • Design, implement, test, operates high quality failure resistant private cloud using Kubernetes and cloud native eco-system with reliability and performance at scale.
  • Automate and build state-of-the-art CI/CD platforms and software supply chain.
  • Create significant monitoring, logging, alerting, and responses to issues proactively.
  • Build Data Center Network, Kubernetes CNIs solutions and distributed storage such as Ceph, Kubernetes CSIs.
  • Scaling, performance tuning, systematic solving, Cloud native security and Kubernetes hardening.

You will bring

  • MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, SW Engineering, Telecommunications, or related technical fields
  • Continues learning habit and thirsty with open-source technology
  • Delight in building tools to automate routine tasks, organized, meticulous
  • Capability to work as a team in start-up pace, open mind and self-driven
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Flexible working hours to handle on-call duty
  • Authority in Linux: RHEL, SLES and Ubuntu, Linux kernel knowledge is a plus
  • Authority in at least one of programming languages (Go, Python, C/C++, etc.)
  • Experience of research, software development, platform development, hardware or appliances, IT, service operations, cloud operations.
  • Linux system administration and network administration
  • Data center infrastructure, replication, scaling, performance tuning
  • Metrics and monitoring, integrating/adapting open-source tools
  • Familiar with CI/CD tooling and release engineering
  • Experience with public clouds; Azure, AWS, GCP, and comfortable with Go, Python, bash scripts, etc.
  • Experience with Git, GitLab, Docker, Rancher, Jenkins, ELK, Redis, Spinnaker, GitOps, Kubeflow, Ceph.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code software tools such as Ansible and Terraform
  • Deep knowledge for cloud native and Kubernetes.
  • Deep knowledge for eBPF and experience with Kubeflow/TensorFlow.
  • Deep knowledge for cloud technologies: Compute, Storage, Network, Database, and Security
