Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Executive Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership skills and a passion for creating delicious and visually captivating pastries. The Executive Pastry Chef will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the pastry kitchen and creating innovative and high-quality desserts.Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the pastry team, including hiring, training, and scheduling
Develop new pastry recipes and create innovative dessert menus
Ensure that all pastries are prepared and presented according to the highest standards
Manage inventory and control costs to meet budget goals
Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation
Stay current with industry trends and implement best practices for pastry production
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Executive Pastry Chef or similar role
In-depth knowledge of baking techniques and pastry arts
Strong leadership and team-building skills
Creativity and passion for creating visually stunning and delicious pastries
Excellent time management and organizational abilities
Understanding of health and safety regulations in a kitchen environment
Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus
Day-to-day:
Supervising and coordinating the activities of the pastry team
Developing new pastry recipes and experimenting with flavor combinations
Conducting inventory checks and ordering supplies as needed
Overseeing the preparation and presentation of desserts for service
Collaborating with the executive chef and other kitchen staff on menu planning and special events
Ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen
