Essential Job DutiesThe Department of Agricultural & Resource Economics at North Carolina State University is seeking a non-tenure track Extension Assistant Professor to take a lead role in the Department’s farm management extension outreach and classroom education programs. The two main responsibilities for this individual are to a) provide leadership in cooperative extension education in farm business management across North Carolina, and b) develop expertise in farm and rural taxation issues and participate in delivering income tax schools in collaboration with the Office of Professional Development (OPD) in the Division of the McKimmon Center for Extension and Continuing Education. As such, the schools are a key educational channel for extension training on agricultural and rural taxation.

This position is a non-tenure track position with responsibilities in extension (70%) and teaching (30%) over a recurring 9-month term. The individual in this position will produce education programming through North Carolina Cooperative Extension (ces.ncsu.edu) based on their expertise in farm management and tax issues. The individual will also contribute to undergraduate student advising.
