Summary of Job Duties:

The Extra Help Assistant is responsible for providing manual farm labor in the planting, care, maintenance, and harvesting of crops.

The applicant must be able to operate modern farm equipment and demonstrate the ability to develop effective working relationships with other personnel at the university and with the clientele group. The position requires the ability to work unsupervised and/or unassisted at various sites both at the farm and other locations. Applicants must be able to lift 50 lbs. and must have a valid driver’s license.

Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications:

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to perform manual labor under varying weather conditions and follow instructions.

Knowledge of farm operations preferred.
