Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £83 – £100 per dayAre you passionate about nurturing young learners in their early years? GSL Education’s North Yorkshire branch is currently looking to appoint a qualified and compassionate General Teaching Assistant to support students inthe Early Years Foundation Stage to work at a Client School in York, North Yorkshire.EYFS General Teaching Assistant Role and Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons.
• Provide 1:1 or small group support to children within Early Years following the EYFS framework.
• Foster a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Assist in the delivery of play-based learning activities.
• Assist in implementing learning activities according to child’s needs.
• Support the development of communication, social, and sensory skills.
• Establish rapport and trusting relationship and communicate effectively with children and their families and carers.

EYFS General Teaching Assistant Requirements:

• A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools/EYFS).
• Have experience working with young children, preferably in an EYFS setting.
• Possess a good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles.
• Passionate about children’s learning and has knowledge and understanding of how pupils learn within the EYFS.
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience or understanding of behaviours linked to additional needs.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for a new one.
