We are always striving to be better.Purpose of the Role:Maintenance and repair of all facilities plant and equipment including utilities, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and building fabric.Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of maintenance skills, including but notlimited to electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and general building repairs. Experience ina highly regulated FMCG industry such as food production and familiarity withcurrent legislation are highly desirable. An understanding of environmentalsustainable initiatives would be desirable.Main Responsibilities

  • Reports to Facilities Manager
  • Preventative and reactive maintenance of the site Facilities– this includes the interior and exterior of the buildings
  • Carry out repairs to site equipment and utilities ie: HVAC, Refrigeration, electrical distribution and plumbing
  • Carry out routine facilities inspections, log issues and follow up to completion
  • Respond to emergency facility repairs needs promptly and effectively.
  • Coordinating external contractors to ensure work is completed in a timely manner and in accordance with site standards.
  • Ensure compliance at all times with Health and Safety and Food safety requirements
  • Work with other department such as Compliance and Operations to ensure site is audit ready at all times
  • Ensure compliance with industrial fire safety regulations and participate in fire safety drills and inspections.
  • Assist in implementing Facility projects and be familiar with control systems ie: EMS and Energy Management Software
  • Operate CMMS Software System to manage and track planned and unplanned maintenance operations / repairs
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement plans for facility projects including carbon reduction initiatives

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Reduction in downtown of key plant and equipment
  • Contribute to maintenance cost reduction
  • Reduction in energy consumption
  • Reduction in carbon emissions across Retail site

Key Skills & KnowledgeEssential:

  • Recognised trade qualification or equivalent (electrical / mechanical)
  • Experience in mechanical and electrical environment
  • Awareness of Quality, Health and Safety
  • Be familiar with planned preventative maintenance programmes
  • Experienced in fault finding and problem solving
  • Proven experience in electrical, refrigeration and general repairs
  • Familiarity with industrial fire safety regulations and protocols
  • Experience in highly regulated industry such as food / pharma is preferred
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail and experience in root cause analysis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a good level of English
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Willing to be flexible with core working hours (occasional out of hours / weekends may be required)
  • Proven track record in industry
  • Ability to demonstrate achievements to date

Education & Qualifications:

  • Recognised trade qualification or equivalent (electrical / mechanical)
