The Centre boasts an extensive range of retail stores, dining options, and entertainment facilities, including cinemas and recreational spaces.Overview of the Role:We are seeking to speak with an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the Soft Services within the Centre and join a dynamic management team, experience with Hard Services would be advantageous. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and leadership skills, and be adept at interacting with the public, tenants, and retail staff. Additionally, the role requires proficiency in managing contracts and budgets.Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the Centre’s security contract and budget.
  • Ensuring proper implementation of security and emergency preparedness protocols.
  • Managing the Centre’s cleaning contract and budget.
  • Ensuring the facility’s cleanliness and maintenance in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Overseeing the information desk, gift card operations, and budget, while ensuring high service standards are maintained.
  • Managing the landscaping contract and budget and implementing biodiversity programs aligned with the Centre’s ESG policies.
  • Supervising the waste collection contract and promoting tenant compliance with the Centre’s recycling and environmental policies.
  • Enforcing Health & Safety policies and implementing preventative systems and auditing procedures.
  • Effectively addressing public inquiries.
  • Handling insurance matters related to accidents and public liability claims and maintaining accurate records.
  • Supervising employee work quality to ensure tasks are completed correctly, efficiently, and effectively.
  • Managing and reviewing soft services contracts and records.
  • Conducting and documenting regular facility inspections.
  • Recommending and coordinating maintenance and technical solutions as needed.
  • Communicating safety procedures to employees.
  • Proposing budgets for all areas of responsibility.

Key Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience in retail with a strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of technical engineering
  • Good decision-making abilities and proven problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in IT, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong leadership and teamwork abilities
  • Professionalism
  • Qualification in Facilities Management or Business Information Management
  • H&S qualification desirable
  • Computer literacy

Additional Information:

  • Employed as Facilities Manager, reporting directly to the General Manager.
  • Standard working hours: 8am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.
  • From time to time the employee will be required to work a weekend within a set roster and one late evening every two weeks as Senior Manager on Duty.
