Farm Assistant (Summer Assistant)

The Summer Assistant is responsible for The Summer Farm Assistant is responsible for assisting with day-to-day operations of farm production and supports the Farm Manager in using sustainable production methods in all operational aspects. This is a Term Limited position- approximately 3 months over the summer. The position will work approx. 30-40 hours a week ideally starting in early May and ending in September.

Education

• None required

Experience:

• Desire to learn and practice sustainable farming using methods that emphasize biodiversity and soil health.

Competencies:

• Strong multi-tasking, organizational, and time management skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• Ability to remain flexible and open minded
• Willingness to interact in a positive manner with healthcare team members, community members, volunteers and hospital patients
• Job duties as otherwise assigned
• Ability to uphold and comply with The Farm at Augusta Health Standards of Appearance.
