Job Summary:

An Alltech Farm Crew Team Member is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the daily operations of the corporate farm. These tasks may include planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops, caring for livestock, and maintaining farm equipment and facilities. The crew members work as part of a team to ensure the efficient and sustainable operation of the farm.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of farming techniques and practices, including planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops.
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform tasks that require physical exertion, such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team, and to communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
• Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols.
• A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and take initiative when necessary.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops.
• Caring for livestock, including feeding, watering, and monitoring their health.
• Operating and maintaining farm equipment and machinery, as well as landscape equipment.
• Making repairs to fencing, livestock waterers, and basic farm assets.
• Removing snow and ensuring safe walkways during the winter season.
• Assisting with the maintenance of farm facilities and infrastructure.
• Helping coworkers with mowing and landscaping.
• Monitoring and maintaining the health and quality of crops and livestock.
• Assisting with the implementation of sustainable farming practices.
• Working as part of a team to ensure the efficient and sustainable operation of the farm.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Additional education in agriculture or a related field preferred.
• Prior experience working on a farm or in a related field.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be physically able to operate motor vehicle and tractor
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds at times
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in an outdoor environment with varying temperature, weather conditions, and noise levels
