Farm Laborer

Farm Laborer – Garnett KS

Description:

Monday – Thursday; 6am-4:30pm

Overtime available

Pay Rate $22/hr

Responsibilities:

• Feed animals daily and provide care as needed
• Bleed sheep up to 8 hours/day at a minimum of 3 days/week for diagnostic purposes
• Administer routine immunizations and treatments as directed
• Provide basic feed and upkeep for animals on a rotational basis
• Perform routine maintenance on animal care facilities and equipment
• Assist with repairs of buildings, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Operate farm and construction equipment and machinery
• Report safety hazards to the appropriate personnel

general labor, mechanical, hand and power tools, mechanical aptitude, mechanically inclined, lifting boxes

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Requirements:

• Educational: Equivalent experience to a High School Diploma or GED is acceptable.
• Related farm or mechanical experience preferred
• Certification/licensure in welding, plumbing, or related field is a plus
• Mechanical proficiency and ability to operate hand tools and equipment
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and walk approximately up to 2 hours a day
