Job Description
Fertilizer Procurement & Sales – Northern Region, Archer Daniels Midland Company, Minneapolis, MN. Implement ADM’s fertilizer business plans, including required volumes, position management, and transportation objectives. Ensure projects are aligned with ADM’s Northern Region. Develop procurement strategies for the Canadian region, including company sales forecast to yield planned volume and revenue targets. Assist with the annual Canadian budget for ADM Fertilizer. Collaborate with various teams to optimize facilities. Analyze existing strategies and to facilitate effective procurement strategies. Review fertilizer positions and associated risks including contracts, warehousing, marketing, currency risk, and transportation. Examine credit requirements, contract terms, contract entry, transportation capacity, and contract administration to ensure contract terms are adhered to. Ensure competitive freight rates and coordinate product sourcing and transportation meet contract terms and requirements.
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Business Administration, Management or a related field, plus five (5) years of post-Bachelor’s, progressive, related work experience.
Must have five (5) years of experience with/in:
- Working in the fertilizer industry;
- Knowledge of fertilizer markets and North American fertilizer supply and demand economics to address global geopolitical issues;
- Designing fertilizer supply strategy for Western and Eastern Canadian customers;
- Utilizing AGRIS or Microsoft Office programs to analyze purchasing principles; and
- Contracting long term, large volume, and special toll purchasing agreements.
Up to 5% domestic and international travel required. Telecommuting permitted.
