The Opportunity

As a Finance Executive/ Senior Finance Executive in the Commercial stream, you will report to the Finance Manager. Your role is to track and manage the client billing lifecycle. You should be comfortable with building trackers, performing job reconciliation and pivoting of data. You will also need to establish a collaborative relationship with the business team to ensure that they are given the necessary financial support on a timely basis.

Key responsibilities

• Control of client billing lifecycle
• Ensure cost estimates are signed-off on a timely basis and client purchase orders are received prior to work commencing
• Monitoring jobs, which includes reviewing and reconciling WIP to ensure timely billing and recovery of costs
• Regular meetings with Business teams to ensure freelancer/contractor cost, production expenses are closely monitored, manage billing queries/disputes
• Ensure timely and accurate billing to clients as well as payment to our vendors
• Preparation of monthly reports and balance sheet schedules with commentaries
• Ensure compliance with audit, statutory and client requirements
• Participate and coordinate the commercial team in statutory, internal and client audits exercises
• Perform revenue recognition and monitor project profitability
• Any other ad hoc duties as assigned

Ideally

• Possess minimum Diploma in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SharePoint
• Able to work independently as well as within a team
• Analytical and detail-oriented
• Able to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge in SAP and Hyperion will be advantage
• Strategic thinking with attention to operational details
• Good team player with effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in a fast-paced Agency or MNCs will be an added advantage
