We are hiring a Finance Manager on a 12 month contract basis (maternity leave cover) to join the team in Keelings Logistics Solutions, Ballymun. This role will reporting to the site General Manager, and be part of the site leadership team.Purpose of RoleManage the finance and compliance function of the business with dual reporting responsibilities to our customer and to Keelings Group. Member of the Depot Leadership Team and a great opportunity for career progression within the business. This is a fixed term role but will lead to other opportunities within the Keelings Group Business.Responsibilities

  • Manage the finance and compliance team with 5 direct reports.
  • Member of the Depot Leadership Team, representing the Finance Function at Senior Meetings.
  • Review weekly accounts for submission to our Customer and Group Finance.
  • Prepare and submit monthly accounts to our Customer and Group Finance.
  • Approve and control payments, monthly pension payment and control account reconciliation.
  • Prepare and submit VAT, Tax and other returns to Group Finance.
  • Manage the annual audit and liaise directly with the Group Auditors.
  • Review various month end journals – Visa, petty cash, mobiles, pension & VHI.
  • Compile daily and weekly KPI‘s including analysis and review.
  • Review of storage inventory and revenue to ensure accurate, controlled and maximised.
  • Monthly reconciliation of intercompany accounts and all balance sheet accounts.
  • Monitoring and reviewing of finance processes and controls.
  • Oversight of corporate purchasing and compliance functions.
  • Budget and Forecast preparation for both Group Finance and our Customer when required.
  • Financial interaction with Our Customer and General ad hoc financial duties.

Person Specification / Core Competencies

  • ACCA/ACA qualified is essential.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Previous experience in managing a team desirable.
  • Proficient in Excel and Powerpoint essential.
  • Good aptitude for figures. Accuracy and attention to detail is necessary.
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent organisation, planning and communication skills required.
  • Excellent time management skills and the flexibility to work outside of normal hours to suit the requirements of the business.
