Job Title: Finance Manager
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Finance Manager to join the team on the M&G Prudential contract based out of 10 Fenchurch Avenue.
Role Summary
•Customer
oDeveloping high quality and effective Client relationships with key stakeholders within the M&G, major supplier, and external teams.
oAssist with client team requests in a timely and accurate manner.
oPreparation of client’s forecast in line with the contractual changes and business requirements
oProvide information to include in the monthly report and present the to the client in the finance review and SRM meeting.
oRegular updates with the client’s finance team to ensure all processes are in place.
oTightly manage contract governance, demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of the terms and conditions of the contract, including the S1, O1, and OP18 documents to ensure that all cost elements are appropriately accounted for.
oMaintain visibility through frequent site attendance on a weekly basis and as required by the client and business demands
oProvide ad-hoc support as requested by the client.
•Financial Reporting
oLiaising with the CBRE EMEA Finance or GWS EMEA Financial Planning and Analysis team to fulfil any ad hoc information requests.
oSupport any GWS transformation and client initiatives, working closely with other functions to ensure full alignment of deliverables and results.
oAssist in preparation of accurate Contract Reviews in line with monthly company timetable including full Profit & Loss account with analysis and commentary, Balance Sheet extracts and reconciliations, detailed Project Profitability reporting, Profit & Loss forecasting and annual plans.
oAd-hoc reporting as requested by Divisional Finance Director, Business Unit Director, BU Finance & Contract Support Manager, and Alliance Director
oProvide best in class Management Information to both Client and GWS management to include Actuals v Budget.
oProvide ad-hoc support and financial analysis as required.
•Contract and Finance Management
oPrepare and review the contract P&L on a monthly basis, updating commercial trackers and providing commentary and challenging the operations team on actuals.
oBuild and develop high level relationships with business and account leaders, central finance teams, customers and external agencies (e.g. auditors) acting as a trusted business partner to all.
oIdentify, analyse and resolve potential business risks, as well as opportunities and solutions to enhance business performance.
oVerify all CCN’s to ensure the correct mark up is applied based on different services
oDrive high quality financial / commercial performance through understanding the contractual commitments on service lines in EMEA and ensure is aligned and consistent with global contract management practices.
oIdentify and help drive implementation of savings opportunities to ensure Client and GWS financial savings targets are maximized.
oContinually review, maintain and improve cash-flow, margins and reporting. Develop targets and benchmarking processes to challenge the financial information.
oDebt report – ownership of debt management
oConstantly improve quality, service and efficiency.
•Finance Processes, Procedures and Reporting
oEnsure company policies and procedures are adhered to consistently throughout the Contract.
oEnsure all month end journals are SOX compliant and adhere to the company policies and directives as outlined on the SOX Compliance portal
oEnsure appropriate Financial Control is in place on the account and managed on a monthly basis including overseeing balance sheet reconciliations for the Account and ensuring timeliness / accuracy
oManage the integrity of data in Client reporting and GWS systems.
oDevelop an understanding of how to best utilize GWS system-generated reporting capabilities.
oContinually develop systems to maximize efficiency benefits for client & GWS.
oDrive deep dives of the annual subcontractor renewals
•Finance Planning
oWorking with the Contract Supports, Contract Managers, and Alliance Director to prepare the annual bottom up Plan and quarterly forecasts throughout the year.
oAssisting with Route to Plan, S1 vs O1, OP18, OP11 and OP12 and validating their integrity for SLT reporting
•Financial Governance
oEnsure CBRE and statutory obligations are met for reporting and governance purposes.
oResponding to all internal and external audit queries in a timely manner
oResponsibility for ensuring the integrity of the Balance Sheet and Balance Sheet Commentary.
oDriving and agreeing any financial policy requirements with the Divisional Financial Director and BU Finance and Contract Support Manager.
•People Management
oRecruit, induct, manage, target, motivate and develop the Contract Support team.
oReview and advise on resourcing gaps.
oCarry out structured appraisals and ensure personal development plans are in place and include succession plans.
oBuild, lead and motivate a diverse and effective team. Empower team members to take responsibility and accountability.
oWeekly meetings with CS and Ops teams
oAdditional training carried out for CS and Ops teams on a quarterly basis
Experience Required:
Essential
•Hold a Chartered Accountant qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
•1-3 years post- qualified
•Highly computer literate, working with speed and accuracy
•Ability to work in fast-paced and demanding environment under pressure
•Superior written and verbal communication skills with strong oral presentation skills
Desirable
•Capable of working in a matrix environment
•Strong focus on customer service
•Ability to pivot based on changing information and client requests
•Commitment to continuous improvement
•Initiative to adopt technology to improve analysis and reporting (PowerBI)
•Track record of people management
•Track record of achieving results through others.
•Previous experience of a service industry role using operating systems (Peoplesoft, IBM Planning Analytics)
•Proven commercial acumen and ability to contribute to decision-making
•Self-motivated and ambitious
•Capable of critical thinking / decision making
•Results / task orientated, with attention to detail and accuracy
•Excellent time management / organisational skills
•Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently
