Description:Applications are in invited for the following posts:Financial Accountant (Grade VIII) – Full time – Permanent ContractReporting to the Finance Director, the Financial Accountant will have responsibility for supervising all staff in the accounts and payroll department.Lead role in preparation of Annual Financial Statements for all Group companies and AFMR returns.Full responsibility for the annual audit (both Internal and External) ensuring all are completed in compliance with regulatory requirements.Pro-actively manage the documentation and implementation of financial policies to ensure strong compliance and internal controls are in place.Management of all accounts processes to ensure reports and controls are completed in an accurate, timely and efficient manner each month.Responsible for coordination tracking and implementation of Internal Audit and External audit Recommendations including cross functional and within finance and payroll.Work closely with Procurement manager to embed and improve financial controls and compliance.Work closely with the Management Accountant to ensure execution of St.Michael’s House strategy and assist in working through and analysing areas of overspend against budget.Ensure appropriate segregation of duties between tasksSign off and review General Ledger journals and all key Balance Sheet reconciliations. and oversee the management of the daily Internet banking system. Close monitoring of organisation cash flow and bank account management.Supervise Household Expenditure processes. Oversee and optimise Creditor and Debtor ProcessesPreparation of reports for Audit & Finance Committee, EMT and other committee meetings and other ad Hoc reports as required. Attendance at Finance Committee meetings will be required.Oversee Finance systems (Dynamics, Megapay, HRIS) recommend improvements and risk assess processes and systems as necessary.Engage with the Integrated Financial Management System project of the HSE to ensure data migration is planned and managed for transition to SAP and key involvement in the implementation of the SAP system in St.Michael’s HouseIdeal candidate should hold a recognised Accounting qualification (preferably Chartered Accountant) and have had a minimum of 5 years post qualification in leading a team in a similar role. Familiarity or previous experience with the Public Sector would also be an advantage.
