Senior Software Engineer – HIRING ASAPStart date: ASAP
Duration: 12 Months
Location: 1 week in Galway office/3 weeks WFHSummaryAs a member of the team, you’ll create and influence innovative solutions that meet not only functional, but also performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.You will be expected to work as a member of a high functioning Scrum team to help drive the next generation user experience for the division both internally and externally.Skills:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in an Information Technology related field
- 5+ years’ experience in software application design & development
- Desired skillset: Java, RESTful services, AWS & Azure
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
Responsibilities
- You work independently on complex technical and functional analysis.
- You take ownership of aspects of project or code base
- You contribute to an environment of continuous improvement
- You support test driven development and automation initiatives
- You follow Fidelity standard processes and methodologies for developing high quality secure code
- You are experienced with Agile techniques and Jira
- You possess strong attention to detail demonstrated by ability to follow and develop specific, outlined and detailed procedures
- You can work multiple tasks simultaneously and can prioritize and balance multiple tasks
- Interpersonal skills, ability to maintain good working relationships with teammates.
- Ability to work in a matrixed environment across multiple locations and functions
- You adhere to development standards and coding best practices for team
- You share knowledge with other team members.
- Excellent Java skills are a must
- AWS & Azure skills an advantage
- Very good understanding of design patterns.
