Job description

We currently have a vacancy for a Front-end developer fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.Your tasks

• Development of front-end website architecture;
• Design of user interactions on web pages as well as design responsive applications;
• Development of features to enhance the user experience;
• Cross-platform optimization;
• Design and develop APIs;
• Writing clean, functional code on the front-end;
• Compile and analyze data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement;
• Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues.

Requirements

• University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• Angular Framework: Proficient in Angular (at least v17) concepts such as modules, standalone components, services, routing, forms, and reactive programming with RxJS / Signals;
• TypeScript: Strong understanding of TypeScript, the primary language used with Angular for adding types to JavaScript;
• HTML/CSS: Proficient in HTML5 and CSS3 for structuring and styling web pages;
• Testing: Knowledge of testing frameworks and libraries like Jest and Cypress / Playwright for unit and end-to-end testing;
• Familiarity with responsive design and frameworks like Material is nice to have;
• Tooling: Familiarity with Angular CLI for project generation, development, scaffolding, and building;

Experience with back end frameworks and libraries will be considered an asset:

• Java Language: Deep understanding of Java, including OOP concepts, generics, collections, concurrency, etc.;
• Spring Framework: Experience with Spring, especially Spring Boot, for creating RESTful services, dependency injection, security, data access;
• Database and ORM: Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate, JPA) for data persistence;
• Build Tools: Experience with build tools and dependency management (e.g., Maven);
• API Development: Ability to design and develop RESTful APIs and understanding of API design principles (e.g., REST, GraphQL);
• Testing: Proficiency in testing tools and frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, and Spring Test for unit and integration testing;
• Excellent command of the English language, French is an asset.
