This is a permanent post arising from a funding award of €5M over 5 years from Met Éireann with the possibility of further funding of €5M after 5 years. This funding will support the hiring of a research team, the creation of a PhD cohort-training programme and the establishment of a Data Science for Weather and Climate Research Centre. It will also provide funding for travel, equipment and other research support. The successful candidate will be expected to allocate the majority of their time in the delivery of the research programme, a third of which is expected to be closely working with Met Éireann.95 Full Professor\2010 Salary Scale: €134,287 – €169,770 per annum.Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelinesClosing date: 12:00hrs (local Irish time) on 1st May 2024.Applications must be submitted by the closing date and time specified.
