My client is seeking passionate and talented semiconductor engineers to join its expanding Business Development team. This role offers a unique opportunity to transition into the exciting world of GaN, even if your background lies in other power semiconductors (Si, SiC) or related fields (electronic circuits, power applications). They provide an intensive training program to equip you with the necessary GaN expertise.The Role
As a GaN Business Development & Technical Account Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between the R&D team and new customers seeking innovative GaN solutions. You’ll be instrumental in driving the adoption of new technologies globally, fostering long-term partnerships, and shaping the future of GaN innovation.Key Responsibilities:
Scouting & Onboarding New Customers:
— Identify and cultivate new applications and customer opportunities in the global GaN market.
— Champion GaN technologies to potential customers across diverse markets.
— Engage new customers by providing technical information, documentation, and reference product samples.
— Oversee the entire onboarding process, from initial contact to production ramp-up.
Technical Customer Support:
— Offer comprehensive technical guidance and support throughout the product lifecycle, from design (using PDKs or co-design) to qualification and volume manufacturing.
— Collaborate with R&D and production teams to address customer concerns and drive continuous improvement.
— Partner with the sales team to provide solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.
Market-Driven Innovation:
— Work closely with customers to understand their needs and strategic directions.
— Translate customer insights into actionable market-driven roadmaps for technology advancements.
— Foster long-term business continuity and growth through strategic account management.
Marketing & Ecosystem Building:
— Develop technical and marketing materials to showcase existing technologies (technical notes, demo setups).
— Promote offerings through online marketing, industry publications, and participation in trade shows and conferences.Qualifications:
– Master’s degree (MSc) or PhD in semiconductors (preferred).
– Experience with power semiconductor technologies or products (GaN experience a plus).
– Strong customer focus, with a demonstrated ability to understand and solve customer problems.
– Passionate and results-oriented with a “get-it-done” attitude.
– Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and fluency in English.
– Effective relationship builder and liaison between customers and internal teams.
– Eagerness to learn and stay updated on advancements in GaN and Wide Bandgap (WBG) technologies.
