Introduce Soitec and context of the position:Soitec Belgium nv, located in Hasselt, is a leading provider of advanced GaN-on-Silicon and GaN-on-Silicon Carbide (GaN-on-SiC) semiconductor material solutions. Our innovative III-Nitride epiwafers, produced in state-of-the-art MOCVD facilities within a dedicated clean-room environment, enable high-performance devices in Power Electronics, RF Power, and Sensor markets, with a particular emphasis on the growing 5G telecommunications sector. What does the job consist?:We are seeking an experienced Product Manager (GaN) to oversee and drive our GaN wafer product portfolio throughout its life cycle. Collaborating closely with internal teams—including Field Application Engineers, Innovation, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and Marketing—you will manage a diverse product range at varying stages of maturity.Your primary responsibilities will include:Developing a deep understanding of customer requirements and translating these insights into product specifications and technical roadmaps.Balancing product quality, performance, cost, and timelines to ensure competitiveness and customer satisfaction.Leveraging your knowledge of GaN semiconductor technology and applications to effectively bridge material properties and customer end-applications.Leading cross-functional projects, demonstrating strong project management skills, and fostering productive relationships across internal and external stakeholders.Providing strategic vision and leadership, initiating new strategies in alignment with technical leaders, and proactively identifying market and technological trends.This role requires technical excellence, strategic vision, exceptional communication skills, and a strong orientation towards achieving financial and operational objectives.Requirements & qualifications:Qualifications and RequirementsMaster’s or PhD degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.Minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant experience within the semiconductor industry.Demonstrated expertise with GaN technology and/or its application fields.Proven experience in customer interaction, project management, and product roadmap development.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to lead multidisciplinary projects and collaborate effectively with international teams.Ability to effectively engage with key stakeholders in innovative technical environments.Key ResponsibilitiesManage products from initial concept through to design, specification, implementation, and analysis.Coordinate input from multiple stakeholders (innovation, engineering, sales, marketing, etc.) to define clear product requirements and priorities.Engage directly with customers to understand their needs, priorities and technical requirements.Exhibit robust organizational and leadership abilities, guiding product development projects from initial conception through successful market launch.Bridge technical and business considerations to define clear, actionable strategies.Effectively manage technical trade-offs and resource allocation with innovation teams.Skills for SuccessA minimum of 3 years of product management experience in a technical, innovative environment, or significant technical leadership experience.At least 5 years of practical technical experience in innovation, engineering, or related technical product development.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to clearly convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Strong analytical abilities, comfortable making data-driven decisions and proactively gathering relevant information.Demonstrated capability to manage multiple priorities effectively, adapting to changing circumstances and business demands.A structured, solution-oriented mindset, adept at problem-solving and strategic decision-making.We invite talented, experienced professionals who seek to contribute to leading-edge semiconductor technologies to join our team.
