DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Global Cost Control and Compliance Program Manager to oversee and optimize our organization’s financial processes on a global scale. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing cost control strategies while ensuring strict adherence to compliance standards across all business units.

Key job responsibilities
1. Develop and implement global cost control strategies to optimize operational efficiency and minimize expenses.
2. Oversee budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
3. Establish and maintain a robust compliance program, ensuring adherence to international and local regulations.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
5. Conduct regular audits to assess compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
6. Develop and deliver training programs to enhance awareness and understanding of cost control and compliance measures.
7. Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
8. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to address compliance concerns and implement corrective actions.
9. Prepare and present comprehensive reports to senior management on cost control and compliance program effectiveness.
10. Stay abreast of global financial regulations, industry best practices, and emerging trends to ensure the organization remains compliant and competitive.
11. Develop and deliver data driven tools to streamline and automate program cost processes, cost reporting, and cost risks.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience delivering cross functional projects experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (macros, pivots, lookups) at an advanced level and data mining, data management, reporting, and SQL queries and understanding of database systems, data visualization tools including Tableau/QuickSight/PowerBI, with intermediate level knowledge of VBA
  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
  • Working knowledge of the construction process, construction estimating/accounting, different procurement methods, value management and value engineering, leveraging cost references/standards (RS Means, Uniformat, CSI Masterformat) and statistical data providers (US Bureau of Labor Statistics, material commodities)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA, or Master’s degree, Project and/or portfolio management accreditation, such as PMP, Prince2
  • Intermediate level knowledge of Python and Procore software
  • Proven capability working with, presenting to, and influencing senior executives
  • Proficient in obtaining, organizing, auditing, and analyzing construction cost data to make fact-based decisions, drive root cause analysis, and evaluate outcome
  • Proven problem-solving skills, project management skills, attention to detail, ability to influence others, and exceptional organizational skills and the ability to effectively communicate and motivate cross functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability as self-starter to work independently while dealing with high levels of ambiguity, incomplete data, organization complexity, and trade-off requirements
  • Facilitation experience at all levels of the organization with both large and small audiences to identify improvement opportunities, manage risk, and resolve conflict
