  • Working as part of our expert global medical underwriting team.
  • Proactively support our team updating content of the medical underwriting manual.
  • Case medical underwriter for global markets teams, as required.
  • Involvement in developing and maintaining medical underwriting rule sets.
  • Taking part in IT initiatives related to medical underwriting as proof of concept, AI…
  • Medical underwriting subject matter expert for development of global medical underwriting platform.
  • Resource for internal and external medical underwriting audits.
  • Work in collaboration with colleagues in other areas of the business.

QualificationsAbout you:

  • 5-10 years experience in life insurance/reinsurance within the medical underwriting department.
  • Strong knowledge of Life, Disability and Critical Illness products. Group experience would be an asset.
  • The willingness to learn about other markets (including but not limited to North & Latin America, South-East Asia, and Australia/New Zealand).
  • Significant substandard and standard underwriting authority across all product lines.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
  • An appetite for or experience in innovation in medical underwriting is a plus.
  • A flexible, proactive team player with a can-do approach and the ability to perform on own initiative.
  • Languages: English to an expert level. Any other language skills would be considered a benefit such as French or Spanish.
  • Some travel may be required.
