Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team focused on high-impact projects across the recycling and industrial sectors. This role is ideal for a recent graduate with hands-on experience in 3D design software, particularly CREO, and an interest in mechanical systems and large-scale plant design. This is a permanent onsite position based in Co. Meath.Key Responsibilities:
- Create and modify detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using CREO.
- Assist with the design of material handling equipment (e.g., conveyors) and structural support systems.
- Translate sales and concept designs into production-ready drawings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, supply chain, and client stakeholders.
- Support the design review process and contribute to value engineering initiatives.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is essential.
- Strong proficiency in CREO is a distinct advantage (college experience acceptable).
- Experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD is beneficial.
- Interest in construction/civil-style projects and large-scale design.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team under tight deadlines.
