Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time roleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to join the senior management team of a
dynamic and growing organisation based in Swords, Co. Dublin.Reporting directly to the Chief
Executive Officer, this key leadership role involves full responsibility for the financial control function
of a small corporate group, which includes four trading entities and three holding companies.As a senior member of the management team, the Financial Controller will lead and manage the
Finance Department, playing a critical role in supporting the ongoing growth and development of the
company from both financial and commercial perspectives.Candidates with experience in managing
organic growth, corporate acquisitions, R&D tax credits, and the financial establishment of
subsidiaries within the Eurozone and North America will have a distinct advantage.The role encompasses hands-on management of day-to-day finance and accounting operations, while
also contributing significantly to strategic business planning and development. The Financial
Controller will work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain &
Logistics, Regulatory Affairs & Pharmacovigilance, Research & Development, Quality, Medical &
Scientific Affairs, Commercial, and Customer Service.Group Financial ControllerPermanent-North Co Dublin2-3 days in the office HYBRIDPrepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including necessary journal
entries.
Actively participate in management meetings by providing financial and commercial insights
to support strategic decision-making.
Oversee the Finance, Accounting, Stock Control, and Payroll functions to ensure efficient
operations.
Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring that all changes in business
assumptions and financial impacts are accurately reflected.
Contribute to shaping the company’s strategic direction through financial leadership and
analysis.
Deliver relevant, accurate, and timely financial reporting and analysis to support business
performance.
Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support key operational and strategic decisions.
Implement and monitor effective cost control initiatives to drive cost efficiency across the
organisation.Serve as the key liaison with external auditors during the annual audit process.
Represent the finance function at board meetings, management meetings, staff meetings,
and other events as requested by the CEO.The Person
- Previous experience of Mergers and Acquisitions
- A minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience (PQE), holding a CIMA or ACCA
qualification.
Previous experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry is highly
advantageous.
Proven track record in a senior management or leadership role.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks
