Job Purpose
This role will manage the deployment and support of changes to the company’s networking & telecommunication infrastructure in support of new and existing data services. The role is responsible for installing, maintaining and supporting LAN, WiFi, WAN, Contact Centres, Data Centre network infrastructure supporting network devices such as Firewall, F5 Load Balancer, Zscaler Proxy and VPN, IP address management, Cisco Meraki SD-WAN and Cisco ACI . The job has to cater for the planning, design, development and implementation of additional/ new networking and telecommunication technology to further grow the network to support the new and changing business needs. The changed infrastructure has to remain scalable, reliablerobust, secure and efficient.
The role also provides 2nd level technical support for data network systems, creates and maintains network documentations including IP assignment, maintains hardware and software standards, and works projects as needed in order to upgrade to new and/or improved communication equipment and procedures. This role must be well versed with the advanced engineering and administration of multiprotocol routers, multilayer switches, network security devices and network management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and resolve network security breaches and vulnerability issues in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Conduct user activity audits where required.
- Develop, implement, maintain and oversee enforcement of policies, procedures and associated plans for network and system administration that has been set
- Design and implement disaster recovery plan for network and firewall equipment’s. Involve with preventive maintenance of the network contract to ensure network stability and performance.
- Assess the need for any security reconfigurations on firewalls and execute them if required.
- Recommend, schedule and perform firewall security improvements, upgrades and/or purchases.
- Deploy, manage and maintain firewall systems under CIMB and their corresponding or associated hardware’s.
- Manage network connectivity for Data Centres LAN and Wi-Fi for corporate network, Contact Centres and regional branch offices. Users will be able to connect to network either through LAN or Wi-Fi to access to the corporate applications hosted on premise.
- Hardening of both firewall and network equipment’s (Switches & Routers) to follow IT security standard
- Provide 2nd level support for any network related incidents for both at the main office (AABC) and regional offices.
- Use Enterprise Analytical & reporting tool (Thousand Eyes, zscaler,) to troubleshoot issue related to applications such as IPCC.
- Manage and support network devices such as Firewall, F5 Load Balancers, AAA, Zscaler Proxy and VPN (ZIA & ZPA), IP address management system (DHCP/IPAM), WiFi controllers/switches and Access Points and ACI Fabric/Controllers in both Prod and DR Data Centre.
- Provides 2nd level support for any LAN or WAN network incidents related to regional offices using SD-WAN technology (Cisco Meraki) and be a point of contact to escalate the issue to managed service vendor.

Qualifications

- Degree, Higher Diploma or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or Electronic Engineering.
Professional Qualification and/or Regulatory, Licensing requirements
CCNA/CCNP/NSE certification is added advantage
Relevant Work Experience
- Experience in managing Data Center using SDN technology (Cisco ACI), Proxy, Load Balancer, Firewall, AAA for centralized device authentication, LAN and WiFi for offices
- Experience in SD-WAN technology to use internet broadband link for both VPN and internet access.
- A minimum of three years supporting LAN and WAN hardware and software technologies, preferably from an IT vendor. A good working knowledge of networking and reporting tools.
