Pay Rate: £ 35,000 – £38,300
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Any 5 from 7 – day shift
Location: London Heathrow (TW6)Role Purpose:A manager will be responsible for the control and delivery of GSE and Stores operation for the BA Cabin Cleaning contract , this role will be responsible to ensure the requirements of the operation are met and correct management of teams in regard to HR processes (RTWs, absence, performance management, etc…) as well as health & safety practices and budgetary responsibility for transport and Stores. A Full accountability for airside transport operations, relations with suppliers as all as all subcontractors, fleet and transport compliance/legislation.Key Responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Ensure transport compliance is met across DHL fleet as well as all subcontractors
  • Take direct responsibility for GSE performance
  • Take shift accountability for the fleet of GSE and processing around VORs, defects and operational standards
  • Responsible for managing colleagues including all people processes (RTWs, absence, disciplinary issues, performance management).
  • Oversee the airside stores team, ensuring that sufficient cleaning equipment, chemicals and consumables are available to the cleaning teams
  • Ensure GSE is supplied with the correct stock. Ensure shortages and surplus items are dealt with
  • Own relationship with all stakeholders GSE service providers and HAL. Deal with any queries and complaints and escalate to a senior manager where appropriate
  • Ensure any service failures are investigated fully, establishing root cause and corrective actions, and, where appropriate
  • Ensure adherence and compliance to both internal and external regulatory bodies, particularly in relation to Transport . Ensure transport compliance is met across DHL fleet as well as all subcontractors

Key skills and experience in this role will include:

  • IT literate
  • Experience within the transport sector – desirable
  • Strong people management skills
  • Ability to tailor communication style
  • Previously in a team leader role
  • Full UK driving license – essential

  • Be able to provide 5 years address history
  • Be able to provide 5 years reference history (employment/education/benefit claim/character)
  • To obtain a full airside ID
