As a JCI accredited hospital, Blackrock Clinic is a progressive and pioneering hospital in which care for the patient is central to everything we do.Role PurposeThe Head of HR will lead and manage the HR function, having regard to our People Strategy and evolving HR Operating model. It is a key role in managing change and ensuring the achievement of our strategic goals through effective people management practices.Qualifications/Experience· 3rd level qualification in Human Resource Management or equivalent· Experience of HR Management in a Healthcare setting desirable· Extensive HR Management experience· Experience of implementing change management initiatives, including cultural change· Experience in performance management· Strong knowledge and experience of employment law and employee relations in IrelandKey Responsibilities· Provide strategic direction, leadership and planning to the local HR function to deliver results and solve complex organisational challenges.· Develop and build strong working relationships with Heads of Service and Front-Line Managers to support them in their role as ‘People Managers’.· Promote and foster positive Employee Relations, with a particular emphasis on innovative engagement models.· Develop plans and budgets for the HR function and ensure these are managed and delivered upon.· Shape and execute workforce plans to ensure the Clinics ability to attract and retain key talent while positioning us as an employer of choice.· Calibrate integrated and inclusive approaches to talent management, career development and succession planning.· Provide consistent and specialist advice and support to managers and staff in all aspects of Human Resources Management.· Act as a change champion and oversee the implementation of relevant Organisational Change and Development programmes locally, which are aligned to the overall Blackrock Health Strategic Plan.· Lead and embed a high-performance driven culture through connecting HR levers, such as performance, reward, development to enable high levels of engagement and motivation.· Put in place key HR metrics to measure and drive HR’s added value to the business.· Support the ongoing implementation of HR policies, processes and systems to create a unified and consistent approach across the Blackrock Health Group.· Participate fully in the implementation of cutting-edge HR Technology solutions to underpin the delivery of quality and progressive People Service offerings.Why work at the Blackrock Clinic?At the Blackrock Clinic, we are passionate about our people and believe in their development and growth.
