Our privately-owned client is an award winning contractor who undertakes technical projects throughout Hampshire, Berkshire, Surrey, Oxfordshire and London. Having been established for over 25 years and with a group annual turnover in excess of £70M, this client has grown year on year into a multi-disciplined provider of demolition, earthworks, remediation, and waste management and they pride themselves on their excellent reputation to deliver projects within budget and to program, whilst always maintaining high standards and quality.ABOUT THE ROLEAt present, my client is recruiting permanently for a Health and Safety Lead who can develop and drive a collaborative safety culture and strategy, providing goals focused on minimising risks and environmental impact. Reporting to the Group Managing Director, this is a key leadership role.As a Health and Safety Director, you will develop and agree strategic plans for HSEQ and related activities; oversee ongoing compliance and performance levels; drive safety culture change, leadership initiatives and improvement across the group; take ownership for ISO 45001, 9001, 14001 accreditation whilst providing support to the maintenance of external accreditations such as CHAS and constructionline and driving the health, safety and environmental audit and assurance activities to name just a few duties.REQUIREMENTSDue to the office location, you must reside within commutable distance from Hampshire and hold a full UK driving license.In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must hold relevant HSQE experience in demolition, waste, recycling or aggregate operations and hold proven success of operating at this senior level. You must be a chartered member of the institution of occupational safety and health and hold a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.REWARDS AND BENEFITSFor this permanent opportunity, my client is targeting professionals looking to earn anywhere from £80,000 to £90,000 per annum however specific salary will be defined upon experience and suitability.Furthermore, there will be a generous package on offer including a company car or car allowance, 33 days annual leave (including back holiday), private medical insurance and enrolment on to the workplace pension scheme.
