We are committed to delivering high-quality renewable energy systems while maintaining the highest standards of safety for our employees and customers.Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Health and Safety Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that all health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to across our operations. This position is vital to maintaining a safe working environment for our employees and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, particularly during the installation of solar panels.
- Identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures to minimize risk.
- Provide health and safety training and guidance to employees and subcontractors.
- Investigate any incidents or accidents and report findings, including recommendations for preventing future occurrences.
- Ensure that all safety equipment is regularly inspected and maintained.
- Stay up to date with industry regulations and best practices, ensuring the company’s policies reflect current standards.
- Liaise with management to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
- Prepare and submit health and safety reports and documentation as required.
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
- Proven experience as a Health and Safety Officer, preferably within the construction or renewable energy sector but not essential.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly those related to construction and electrical installations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and motivate others.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel to various sites as needed.
