Health & Safety OfficerOptimize Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with our client, a leading Health & Safety consultancy in Ireland, to recruit a Health & Safety Officer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established team that provides expert safety management services across various sectors, including construction, industrial, pharmaceutical, and refurbishment projects.Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out thorough site safety inspections across a range of environments, including commercial, residential and pharmaceutical sites, identifying potential hazards and implementing appropriate control measures.
• Ensure all projects comply with relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards.
• Develop and oversee risk assessments, ensuring hazards are identified, control measures are in place, and compliance is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct comprehensive toolbox talks
• Keep health and safety records up to date, ensuring documentation remains compliant with legislation and company policies.
• Act as a Health & Safety representative on-site, overseeing the implementation and management of all required procedures, documentation, and controls.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to site personnel, ensuring safety protocols are followed and best practices are maintained.

Requirements:

• A relevant Health & Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
• Previous experience in a health and safety role, preferably within construction or pharmaceutical sectors.
• Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and best practices.
• Experience in conducting audits, site inspections, and risk assessments.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively with teams at all levels.
• Experience in the role of PSCS is an advantage.
• Full driving licence and flexibility to travel when required.
