. Attractive salary and packageYou are an experienced Health and Safety professional and are seeking a fresh challenge in the North Cork area. Maybe your company aren’t providing you with the resources you need or there’s little room for progression.Your next role is with a professional, safety focused Main Contractor managing the Health and Safety on a large extension and refurb to a major pharma building.This Irish Main Contractor have multiple large projects across Cork including commercial, residential and retail projects with more in the Pipeline providing long term work and career progression.
Health and Safety officer Skills: The Health and Safety role would suit an experienced, self-reliant individual with a minimum of 3+ years construction experience who would relish the opportunity to work for a company that is dedicated to ensure best practices in the areas of health and safety.
- You will be NEBOSH / IOSH Qualified
- You will have experience working on large construction projects.
- You have a strong and proven ability to influence change and be a champion of best practice
- You must have excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- You will have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint)
- You must possess a full clean driving licence
As Health and Safety officer you will: Report to and work closely with the company Health and Safety Manager and Contracts Manager. You will be responsible for large construction sites, ensuring the implementation of safety statements, legislation and company policy across the site and that all relevant safety documents are completed and filed correctly.Key responsibilities:
- Deliver high levels of HSE performance
- Engage with the operational team to commend HSE working methods or gain improvement
- You will liaise with the Project Management Team to ensure Health and Safety documentation is up to date on site
- Coach and promote HSE to on-site teams
- You’ll drive a safety culture by being a champion of best practice; conducting training for new and existing employees on the importance of health and safety on the job
