Call now on 015314345 or email your CV to [email protected].Health and Safety Officer skills: The Health and Safety Officer role is ideal for an experienced, self-reliant professional with 3+ years of construction or civil engineering experience:
- A third-level qualification in Health and Safety or a related field.
- IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) membership preferred.
- Strong experience within the construction or civil engineering sector, ideally in large infrastructure or groundworks projects.
- Ability to manage Health and Safety independently on-site in line with the company’s management system.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable with new technologies (Mobile Apps, etc.).
- Able to lead and deliver Health and Safety meetings and presentations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting to and working closely with the Group Health and Safety Manager.
- Identify site-specific hazards and ensure they are managed in both documentation and practice on-site.
- Conduct site safety inspections and investigate any accidents or dangerous occurrences within your designated area.
- Perform Risk Assessments and complete Method Statements.
- Contribute to and deliver Tool Box Talks and discussions.
- Collaborate with Site Managers to ensure all Health and Safety documentation is up to date.
- Conduct training for new and existing employees as needed.
