As we continue to expand to provide additional services to meet the needs of those we care for, we currently have a number of opportunities within our Orchard Community Ca & Orchard Residential Care divisions, across Ireland for full time and part time Health Care Assistants, vacancies available in the following counties: Cavan, Galway, Kerry, Kildare, Laois, Leitrim, Limerick, Longford, Louth, Mayo, Meath, Roscommon, Sligo, Tipperary, Waterford, Wicklow, Carlow, Clare, Cork, Laois. Working on a shift rota, you will engage in daily activities and routines of the service, providing dedicated direct support to the people we care for as well as contributing to their development, health, and wellbeing. · Minimum of 39 guaranteed contracted hours per week, up to 48 hours on average. (Rosters include 24 hour and 12 hours shifts). · Guaranteed gross salary (full time) €38146 – €41852 per annum. Purpose of the Role: The Health Care Assistant is expected to engage in daily activities and routines of the service that they are working in, inclusive of direct support to service users, administration work and daily household tasks required of them. The Health Care Assistant is required to work as part of a dedicated and innovative team within Residential Services providing a service to the people we support in line with national regulations & standards. Essential Requirements: Relevant QQI Level 5 or equivalent Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar environment supporting adults or children with intellectual and physical disabilities or supporting children and young people who are unable to live with their own families. Knowledge of adults/children with complex needs. Full manual drivers license is mandatory (eligibility to drive in Ireland) Order to work in Ireland a non -EEA National, unless they are exempted, must hold a valid employment permit.
