One of Ireland’s leading Fit-out and Building Contractors is looking for an experienced Safety Officer to join their Dublin based team.This is a well-known company with a track record of delivering outstanding results across numerous sectors including Commercial, Data Centres, Healthcare, Industrial, Education and Residential throughout Ireland and Europe. Renowned for supporting their people through industry leading professional development initiatives, they will offer you an environment where you can really establish yourself as a Health and Safety professional.Your role will involve:
- Providing support & advice to colleagues, subcontractor personnel and other third parties.
- Ensuring all H&S policies are fully implemented on site.
- Ensuring the delivery of health and safety inductions for all new employees, checking all relevant training is in place and recorded on site.
- Conducting regular inspections as directed in the Safety Management system.
- Ensuring all plant and equipment inspections are up to date in compliance with legal obligations.
- Delivering Toolbox talks.
- Consulting with staff on RAMS briefings, lessons learned from audits or investigations.
- Ensuring proper reporting of all accidents, incidents and near misses on site and assisting with the investigation and implementation of corrective action.
- Collecting relevant information for inclusion in the Safety File and preparing for handover to the Client.
What we are looking for:
- A relevant EHS qualification at diploma / degree level.
- A minimum of 1 year experience in construction safety.
