What You’ll Do
The role of the Health & Safety Authority is to enable Network Development to improve performance and reduce risk in their activities. Network Development consists of five business units which develops and delivers Vodafone mobile and fixed line networks.
The Health & Safety Authority role will oversee all operational areas of Network Development, (Planning & Optimisation, Project Management Office, Network Deployment & Connectivity, Infrastructure Management & Deployment and Master Services Agreements) in their Health, Safety and Environment obligations.
The Health & Safety Authority is to provide Subject Matter Expert guidance, identify opportunities for improvement and reduce risk while deploying and delivering a network for Vodafone customers. This role manages the ND Health & Safety Leads and team, as they work with the business units on the opportunities for improvement and implementing change; and also the development of an operational strategic improvement program.
The role is involved in multiple areas activity, supporting Network Development and its business units, which includes the development and implementation of contractual obligations and supporting the assessment and selection of suppliers, to enable Network Development to deliver the network. Also responsible for supporting and guiding other Departments (e.g. NSE) as requested and required by Vodafone stakeholders.
The role is required to manage the governance and performance of Health, Safety and Environmental related items, that relate to the network development. This is done through proactive engagement with the relevant stakeholders within Network Development UK, H&S department of Vodafone, Network Development Vertical, Suppliers, Partners and other relevant external parties.
