What you’ll be doing…

The Consultant HR Business Partner (HRBP) for Ireland helps drive the overall in-country people strategy by supporting the provision of strategic advice and support on a broad range of the employment lifecycle. The country Consultant HRBP is a trusted partner for the regional Leadership Team on matters of compliance, using working knowledge to assist in the development and implementation of country-specific programs, and strategic HR related matters across all Verizon entities in Ireland. The position holder works in close partnership with Functional HRBPs, the HR Answers team and other HR related stakeholders such as Talent Acquisition, Payroll and Compensation & Benefits, giving tactical advice and problem resolution on complex and sensitive HR policy interpretation and procedural issues.

Furthermore the Consultant HRBP utilises their operational HR process, policy and labour law knowledge and understanding, and is a co-custodian of all local HR policies and procedures and delivers the HR country plan(s) to ensure organisational effectiveness. The person will also support the Snr Mgr HRBP in ensuring that all teams within Ireland are working effectively in line with Verizon’s Code of Conduct and the organisational culture.

Ensure compliance to all legislative and organisational policy requirements for Ireland.
Driving process improvement to gain efficiencies in work conducted and driving strong HR business partnering and professional people management standards/processes across Ireland.

Supporting the Implementing and managing of all changes which are rolled out as required by the business or HR team within the timeframe and with procedural accuracy, ensuring appropriate collaboration with all relevant Verizon stakeholders.

Ensure all employment relations issues are dealt with in compliance with local laws and business risk is minimised and key stakeholders are engaged appropriately.

Working closely with Employment Legal as required in the context of compliance and legal matters – a seamless cooperation is key.

Handle local ER activities, following the Verizon Investigation Charter and any local law.

Responsible for the standard BAU in-country HRBP activities per the existing HR R&R matrix

You’ll need to have:

Bachelor degree, or equivalent, in human resource management, employment legislation, organizational psychology, business, or relevant experience.

Fluency in English.

Willingness to travel up to 25%

Proven experience in building relations and successful negotiations with relevant stakeholders of all levels within a global matrix organisation.

Ability to provide valuable input into the development and implementation of effective change management plans for key HR and business initiatives

Able to move between strategic and tactical work

Talent to build strong relationships and positively influence others

Highly resilient, openness to change and with a change mindset

Experience in using google suite and Microsoft Office tools

Knowledge of HR processes gained in a dynamic global and matrix organization.
