Our client, a leader in the Insurance & Benefits Industry, is looking to hire Customer Service Specialist (Call Center) to help support their office located in the West End Halifax area on a hybrid basis.

Please note – this is a hybrid role – with the expectations of the qualified candidate being able to work in the office 3 days a week (2 days from home).

Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:

As a Customer Service Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of customer service requests and meeting clients’ needs, including answering calls and, at times, following up on group insurance plan files. Requests, which vary in complexity, come from internal or external clients. This is a call center environment, so your main form of communication will be over the phone, however you will also communicate with customers over email as well. In a typical day, you will receive inbound requests, in upwards of 50+ calls a day, and from there you will have to assist the customer and document their profiles with what changes you have just made for them.

Must Have Experience/Skills:

  • 1+ Years of Customer Service Related Experience (Call Center/Information Center/Service Sector/Retail Sector/Etc.)

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Teams)

  • Strong Communication Skills (English – Written/Verbal)
