IAA Credit Union Consumer Loan Officer

As a Consumer Loan Officer working at IAACU, you’ll have the opportunity to assist members who are looking to borrow money. Loan types you’ll specialize in will include, but may not be limited to, home equity loans, auto loans, recreational vehicles, personal loans and credit cards. This is a rewarding position that offers additional incentives for driven employees who consistently meet or achieve their goals.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule and is based out of our corporate offices in Bloomington, IL.
How does a Consumer Loan Officer make an impact?
- Establishes, maintains and grows member relationships in order to continually provide credit union solutions that meet member needs.
- Looks for opportunities to cross sell additional IAACU products.
- Performs application interviews, answers questions about loan products and services, underwrites loans (within assigned limits), and prepares and processes all required forms and documentation.
- Obtains and evaluates credit reports, verifies income and/or tax returns, and calculates debt-to-income ratios.
- Enters loan data into system, prints documents and checks and closes loans with members. Tracks and maintains loan production log as instructed.

- Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) preferred.
- This job operates in a credit union environment.
- Regularly communicates with and interacts with others, and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, calculators, scanners and copy machines.
- Regularly works daytime and Saturday hours (on rotating basis) with occasional overtime. Work may extend beyond normal business hours as business needs dictate.
- Typically requires 2 years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.
