Overview of position
- CTG is looking for a candidate whose experience matches the below TOR.
Role objectives
- Work with FTS asset management unit in evaluating & deploying ICT equipment to mission personnel.
- Repairs & remediates ICT owned equipment & facility also including mission owned technology oriented devices.
- Provides support to FTS service desk regarding assessing & rectifying hardware issues for all ICT service & devices.
- Primary focal point for maintenance & construction of all FTS IT equipment room (server room) & communication shelters.
- Primary liaison to engineering regarding power utility & UPS issues.
- Install & configure ICT equipment released by asset management unit, Installation & Imaging of software (Initial deployment & reimaging).
- Evaluates & recommends ICT equipment & technology procurement as deemed necessary.
- Works with R & I as needed for evaluating procured IT & communications equipment.
- Plane & implement preventive maintenance schedule.
- Creation of ghost image according to UN standard.
- Operates special equipment as required by FTS management.
Project reporting
- This role will report to the line manager
Key competencies
- Intermediate knowledge of ICT & electrical equipment, desktop, laptop, UPS & communication devices.
- Can remediate & repair ICT equipment & as needed on other mission owned technology device.
- Sound knowledge of electrical power concept & has firm understanding of all things related to technology.
- Adequate inventory skills & organization.
Team management
- This role has no team management responsibility.
